LAND AND CHARGE CERTIFICATES

Certain changes regarding land and Charge Certificates were introduced on 22 January.

• From that date Land Certificates will only be issued in the case of an application for first registration, a transfer of a registered title and a transfer of part of a registered title. No Land Certificate will be issued for any other type of application for registration in the Land Register.

• Charge Certificates will be issued following the registration of a standard security. Where any other deed affecting the standard security is registered the Charge Certificate will not be updated to include that deed.

• No substitute certificates of title will be issued. If you wish a copy of a title sheet for your use please order an Office Copy.

Land and Charge Certificates should not be submitted with applications for registration. We will not return any such Certificates that are submitted from Monday 5th February 2007.
